NJ Visit

I took the boys (including Barney) to visit my parents in northern New Jersey for five days and they had so much fun! We did many fun activities and luckily the weather was absolutely perfect for most of the trip. Our big adventure was a trip to the Bronx Zoo, which I will put in a separate post.

Nana and Pop were just on vacation in Cape Cod for a week and of course were chock full of souvenirs for everyone, mainly Ben and Nate. Here Ben is using his new truck stamp set that Nana found for him on the Cape. Just like his mommy!!
Some cute random pictures that I took over the course of the week.

Closeups!

Mr. Bedhead himself, first thing in the morning!

Ben loved exploring Nana and Pop's yard and found lots of interesting nooks to play in. Here, he and Pop walk through a path next to the house that Ben couldn't get enough of. He had so much fun walking back and forth through his new route.

Ah, a boy and his dog....playing in the yard. Barney may have enjoyed playing outside even more than Ben...and may have even tired himself out more than the toddler, too!!

It isn't a summer day outside without homemade juice popsicles a la Nana. I always remember eating these as a little girl as well. Ben loved them and felt that we all should "taste" it.

No, Benjamin, not Barney too. Icepop fun is over! :)

Nana and I took the boys to the Ridgewood Duck Pond one afternoon. Both Andrew and I used to go here as children so it is always fun to take our kids there. Ben loves it since there is so much to do - the ducks and geese to feed, a big playground, an ice cream truck, and the Bergen County Bark Park.

The boys in their double stroller on our walk.

Mr. Smiley!

Nana and Ben at the Bark Park. Unfortunately children under 12 can't go inside so we had to enjoy the doggies from the outside.

Saying hello to the ducks and geese.

And the favrotie finale to the outing - a Strawberry Shortcake ice cream pop from the ice cream man. Yum!
