Christmas Decor

Ben continues to have far too much fun with our Christmas decor and gifts, each day discovering more things to terrorize. Today, I entirely gave up the idea that he's a baby and doesn't truly understand that he shouldn't be touching things; his mischievous smile and the way he picks up speed as he approaches something definitely belie his innocence!

Here, he has beaten me to the Christmas village and succeeds in picking a piece up just as I rush over and catch him in the act. He's been trying to actually touch it for weeks, so he seemed quite pleased with himself afterwards.

Aha! Mom's gifts! Andrew did something quite unexpected this year - he finished wrapping my gifts before the usual December 24th and has placed them around the tree to tempt me. Of course this gives Benjamin something else to explore. Here he is shaking, patting and de-bowing my pile of gifts, much to Andrew's dismay. Email me if you have any ideas what could be inside these packages, but be forewarned that Andrew is known for his "trick wrapping" technique so looks may be deceiving!

Finally, he moves in for the kill and starts to rummage through the pile of his own gifts, looking for some loose shred of paper to pull. Lucky that some gifts that have already been received were sitting under the tree as a diversion, so most of the wrapped gifts made it through another day unscathed!
