Abigail - 4-Month Pediatrician Appointment

This morning we took Abby for her 4-month pediatrician's check-up. Unlike the 2-month visit where she screamed the entire time, she was quite pleasant and flirty this entire visit, smiling and cooing at anyone who came near her. That is until the friendly nurse gave her 4 shots :(. Ouch! She survived, though, and self-soothed once she found her thumb to suck on after this traumatic event!

Overall, she is doing very well and is meeting all of the typical milestones a 4-month old should be. She is smiling, cooing, almost able to roll over from back to front, bearing weight on her legs when "standing", grabbing and kicking objects, sleeping and eating fine. Her head circumference is still in the 4th percentile so they are keeping an eye on it since this is quite low. But, it did grow 1/2" since last visit and she is more than meeting her milestones so they don't seem concerned. We are going to see how she is doing at the 6 -month check-up so please pray that she just has a small head and nothing more, if you think of it.

As far as her stats, she is our tiny, petite little lady!

Weight: 12lbs. 3oz. (25th percentile)
Height: 24-1/8" (50th percentile)

Her brothers were at least that big at 2-months old! No wonder her 3-6 month clothes are still pretty big on her; if she weren't so long, she'd definitely still be in 0-3mo. clothing!

We'll be back for another appointment when she is 6-months old and I am sure we will have lots of updates to the blog in the meantime since the 4-6 month mark is often a time for lots of different milestones to be met.
